Killing Horse Records is happy to announce the addition of The Vansaders to the KHR roster. These strapping young lads from Brooklyn have been impressing the shit out of us and we can't wait to put out their record. Keep an eye out for Stuck In New York City to come out this summer.

"The Vansaders walk the line of rowdy and refined. Their bourbon-soaked blend of punk, country and straight-up rock ‘n’ roll is the type of sound that’d easily be the soundtrack to any heavy night of drinking at your local dive bar with a group of close pals as well as those lonesome nights of drinking by yourself.

Their music has moments of heart and heartbreak, of celebration and solitude. It’s the type of music Mike Ness would raise a shot to while shooting a look of “hey these guy are good” over to Johnny Cash. And in today’s alt-rock musical culture which keeps racing towards becoming the second coming of New Wave; listening to The Vansaders is both refreshing and exciting." - Pop-Break.com

Killing Horse Records is psyched to announce that we have added one of Baltimore's best bands Sick Sick Birds to the KHR roster. In 2012 Sick Sick Birds released Gates Of Home, an 11 song full-length of well crafted, catchy indie punk awesomeness. We heard it, thought it rocked, and are now going to be bringing it to you in CD format for five freaking bucks! Look for Gates of Home coming to a CD player near you in early March, and be on the lookout as Sick Sick Birds make their way up north to celebrate the release! We'll keep you posted as always, but for now you get to rock out to the opening track, "Pick and Choose". Rock on!

Happy New Year folks! So according to very complicated mathematical computations that I just did with my fingers, turns out we've been around for THREE YEARS. Yeah, I don't understand how we've lasted this long either. Probably has something to do with high pain thresholds and masochistic tendencies - but that's not really important. What is important is that we've made yet it another year and we feel like celebrating. We want you to come celebrate with us, so we put a party together and YOU'RE INVITED. Hooray! It takes place this Saturday, January 12th at Maxwell's in Hoboken. This years celebration features our 6 active artists, TV Sound, Cold Fur, Cicada Radio, Life Eaters, The Everymen, & Secret Country.

Speaking of Secret Country, they have their own reasons to celebrate - they are debuting their 2nd full-length album, From The Barroom To The Bedroom, so Saturday mean double party time for everyone! Fantastic! Doors are at 7:30PM, cover is $10. Come out early, and plan on staying late - which means pace yourself at the bar. It's a long night, so stay away from shots until at least Life Eaters. Trust me, it'll work out for the best.

Alright, that's all for now - hope to see you on Saturday. More details on the show here. If you can't wait until Saturday, or can't make it, From The Barroom To The Bedroom is on sale in the Killing Horse Store, and ordering it today will land you an instant download of the whole album. So maybe go do that.

Well, considering we've all only got a few weeks left to live (that damn Mayan apocalypse just sneaks up on ya doesn't it?) - Cicada Radio squeeze in a new CD for you to rock out to the end of the world - aptly titled No Fate But What We Make. It includes 8 songs of gloriously cacophonous guitar rock (did I really just use that word? 700 verbal on my SATs!) - the perfect soundtrack to watch the world crumble around you, and just in time for the holidays too! It features the single "Oceans" which is burning up the interwebs with it's fantastic video. Order your copy right here, right now, and get an instant download of the whole record! That's 6 days before the rest of the world gets to hear it (because you're so special to me, each and every one of you).

If you're in the New Brunswick area, or if you aren't and have access to a car or know how to hotwire a neighbor's, head on out to the Court Tavern this Saturday and celebrate this release with us, Cicada Radio, and a bunch more. And check out the video for "Oceans" below.

Hey folks, so the last few days have been pretty rough for a lot of people. Hurricane Sandy has really done a number on our home state of New Jersey, as well as much of the surrounding states. We were very fortunate to only be inconvenienced with not having any power for a few days, but now that we're up and running again (though our main headquarters is still in the dark), we'd like to do something to help out those who didn't fair quite as well. The devastation on the Jersey shore alone is almost too much to bear. So, here's what we'd like to do - we've got a whole a bunch of stuff sitting around warehoused and not doing anything, so make your way to our special Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund page, make a donation, and get some cool stuff. If you don't really want anything, that's fine too, just get a sticker - the important thing is that you help out if you can. 100% of the proceeds will be going to assist those who need it due to the storm.

Also, The Everymen have set up their own relief fund - they're making special "New Jersey Hardcore" T-Shirts, again with 100% of the proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy victims. You can order those right here.

If that's not soon enough either, you really need to just chill out. But once you settle down, why don't you go over the newly designed KHR Shop and pre-order the record. Why? Because if you do you'll get an instant download of the lead single "Coney Island High" Oh - and you have choices! That's right, we're offering the record on CD and glorious vinyl (we're super excited about the first LP on Killing Horse!) Either way, you get a free track, so just go do it pussy.

Rock on!
